The WINS program
The objective of WINS is to teach the children to become self-sufficient  and responsible for their own future. As well as receiving their regular schooling, we offer additional lessons for the children after school that includes;
Sexual education;
Culture (dancing and music);
English and computer skills;
Future perspective coaching
Care for the environment, the planet and personal hygiene.

One of our policies is that each Learning Center must eventually become self-sufficient and be able to cover its own daily operational costs without ongoing assistance from WINS.
Our aim is that within 3 years they are able to ‘do it on their own’ through the establishment of an independent source of income which we also assist them to create.

Don’t give them a fish,

don’t give tem a fishing rod,

but teach them how to make a fishing rod.        G.R.

Our ultimate goal is to educate the children, teach them how to achieve their own independence and self responsibility, so that they can solve their own problems and do not always remain dependent on others.

The WINS education plan includes:

  1. ensurance that the children return to mainstream education;

  2. offering additional lessons at the WINS Learning Centers, focusing on developing independence and responsibility;

  3. arranging shelter and housing wherever necessary;

  4. the child sponsorship program. You can sponsor a child financially, so that they can receive an education.

Our mission

WINS stands for :Weeskinderen Indonesië naar School. (orphans of Indonesia to school)

WINS vision is to make a difference by supporting children in Indonesia that cannot afford to go to school, to receive an education, giving them a chance to create a brighter future for themselves.

Many children in Indonesia come from very poor families who earn barely enough for food and shelter. Education is not free and going to school is often not an option for these children. Without an education, these children are likely to remain in poverty.

We are determined to give the underprivaledged children of Indonesia the opportunity to rise above their poverty and live up to their full potential.
